Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will be without defensive duo Will Haining and Chris McCready for the home game against Bury.

The pair were both forced the leave the field in the first half of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Barnet after suffering hamstring injuries and are expected to be out for a number of weeks.

Paul Scott and Craig Stanley came on for McCready and Haining at the weekend and will be looking to start the match against the Shakers.

Another option for McIlroy is to recall Laurence Wilson who has been left out of the last two Shrimpers squads.

Rookie forward Jimmy Spencer started the match against the Bees and will be looking to retain his place but will face tough competition from experienced striker Phil Jevons, who made his return from injury as a substitute against Barnet.

Bury manager Alan Knill has Peter Sweeney available for the trip.

The midfielder missed the 2-0 win over Cheltenham with an ankle injury but is back in the Shakers squad for the match at the Globe Arena.

With Sweeney back Knill has a fully-fit squad to choose from although he is likely to go with the same starting XI as against the Robins.

That means Lenell John Lewis will again have to settle for a place on the bench with Ryan Lowe and Andy Bishop preferred up front.

Lowe's strike on Saturday was his sixth in the league this season and he will hoping to add to his tally against a Morecambe side who have conceded nine goals in their last four games.
