On Sunday afternoon, two clubs with 100% records in the Premier League went head-to-head.

It was Watford vs Tottenham at Vicarage Road and something had to give.

The first-half was very cagey wth neither side creating a single opportunity in the opening 45 minutes.

That meant stand-in goalkeeper Michel Vorm had very little to do in the visitor’s net.

Vorm was deputising for Hugo Lloris, who had been ruled out of the clash through injury.

Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that Lloris will be fit for their game against Liverpool on September 15, and that the injury is "not a big issue".

While Vorm had very little to do before half-time, that didn’t stop him from completely embarrassing himself.

From a goal-kick, the Dutchman somehow conceded a corner-kick as he attempted to play a pass to Toby Alderweireld.

Fortunately for Vorm, Sky Sports cameras totally missed it as they were showing an action replay at the time.

Unfortunately for Vorm, fans have been posted a clip from the BBC which shows the incident.

VORM CONCEDES CORNER-KICK FROM HIS GOAL-KICK

Here it is:

Oh wow.

Vorm will be very glad Spurs didn’t concede from that corner.

However, Pochettino’s side did struggle to deal with set-pieces in the second-half.

After Abdoulaye Doucoure’s own-goal gave Spurs a lead, the Hornets rallied and secured their fourth victory of the campaign.

First, Troy Deeney headed in from Jose Holebas’ free-kick. Then, seven minutes later, Craig Cathcart powered a header in from Holebas’ corner.

All in all, it was pretty disastrous afternoon for Vorm and Spurs and they lost ground on Liverpool, Chelsea and…Watford at the top of the table.
