Monaco took the footballing world by storm in 2013.

The principality club endured some torrid years and were even relegated from Ligue 1 in 2011, but they returned with a bang.

Claudio Ranieri's team finished second in the 2013/14 season behind Paris Saint-Germain after a summer of lavish spending.

Monaco's £110m spending spree shocked everyone, bringing in some seriously impressive players in the process.

So what happened to the 12 signings that changed the outlook of the club? Well, only one is still there to this day.

The world's most wanted marksman at the time was an instant hit in Monaco, before loan spells at Manchester United and Chelsea. He's now back with the Ligue 1 side.

JAMES RODRIGUEZ
