There isn’t another footballer quite like N’Golo Kante, is there?Despite being one of the best defensive midfielders in world footballer, earning a ridiculous amount of money, the Frenchman remains as humble as ever.The two-time Premier League winner is shy and retiring and is rarely ever in the public eye for anything other than his world-class performances.There is the odd time Kante makes headlines, though.Like when he crashed his £20,000 Mini Cooper in January 2018, only to turn up to training in the same battered car the very next day.
And even after winning the biggest prize in football this summer, Kante was too shy and reserved to ask his French teammates for a touch of the World Cup trophy.“He is so shy so he didn’t want to say ‘give it to me’, so he had to wait,” Olivier Giroud confirmed.
“Sometimes people came in front of him. At the end of the day someone took it and gave it to him.”
Kante has teamed up with the French national side once again this week ahead of their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Germany and Netherlands.
And the 27-year-old has shown his shy side once again.
Montpellier goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte performed his initiation song at dinner and all of the France players got involved.
They were banging tables and waving white napkins in the air.
But Kante - who was sitting right next to Lecomte - just remained motionless with a grin on his face.

LUIZ LOVES KANTE AS WELL
His teammates adore him as well - well, David Luiz certainly does.
After Chelsea won their fourth match of the Premier League season against Bournemouth on Saturday, Luiz praised Kane for the player and person he is.
“Everyone has to understand that he is a great player, a good person,” Luiz said about Kante.
“May he continue like that. Everyone knows him a little bit, he is someone with a heart totally different from everyone else.
“He’s a golden person, a great friend. We laugh every day together because it’s great to have a player like him.”
