Coming out of SummerSlam, the storyline between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch is one of the most exciting in WWE right now.

At last month's PPV, Charlotte just got the better of her 'best friend' in a triple threat match that included Carmella - and she won the SmackDown Women's Championship.

THE HEEL TURN

But, rather than celebrating with her friend, Becky turned heel that night, brutally beating down the new champion.

Instead of siding with Flair, who's now the only face in this situation, the fans went absolutely crazy for Lynch and her beatdown got one of the best reactions of the whole night.

Obviously, that kind of positive response was not what WWE were hoping for. But it wasn't a one-off. In the following weeks on SD Live, Becky attacked Charlotte again - and the crowd still loved it.

THE WRONG REACTION?

Fans have been waiting to see this side of the "Irish Lasskicker" for some time now, so instead of resenting Lynch for her actions, the WWE Universe is still fully behind her.

But that actually puts WWE in a strange position. Much similar to Roman Reigns - Becky is getting the wrong reaction - so there's been talk of the company changing her direction once again.

Reports suggest she could become a "tweener" character - neither good or bad. So clearly, WWE just don't know what to do with her right now.

Luckily, Stone Cold Steve Austin has a suggestion. And it's spot on.

STONE COLD'S ADVICE

"Charlotte I like as a heel. Becky I like either way," Austin revealed on The Steve Austin Show, per Wrestling Inc.

"But, man, when she knocked the hell out of Charlotte, that crowd came unglued when they turned her heel, but it was the biggest babyface reaction of the night.

"People came unglued, so where does she go?"

FOLLOW THE CROWD

Like the rest of us, Stone Cold doesn't actually know where Lynch should go, but most WWE fans will completely agree with what he thinks should happens.

"I just think let her be whatever the people want her to be. To me, for her, she doesn't need to be a heel or a baby - she just needs to be Becky Lynch," he continued.

"Becky ought to just be Becky because there's money in Becky being Becky. Let the people decide. As long as she's being true to herself, she's going to fly as high and as far as they want her to."
