Manchester United are famous for bringing through talented young players. They pride themselves on it.
Remarkably, United have had a graduate from their youth system in every single matchday squad since October 1937 - a run stretching over 80 years.
Some of the club’s greatest ever players forced their way into the first team after impressing in the youth ranks.
The likes of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Bobby Charlton and many others made their professional debuts with the Red Devils.
Since 2008, a total of 24 English players have made their debuts with Man Utd - but where are they now? Let’s take a closer look.
Danny Welbeck
Current club: Arsenal
Born in Manchester, Welbeck left United for Arsenal in 2014 in search of regular first-team football.
The 27-year-old has scored 28 goals in 114 appearances for the Gunners at the time of writing.
Ben Amos
Current club: Bolton Wanderers
Aware that he was never going to displace David de Gea as United’s first-choice goalkeeper, Ben Amos left Old Trafford for Bolton Wanderers in 2015.
He has since had loan spells with Cardiff City, Charlton and Millwall.
Richard Eckersley
Current club: Retired
The full-back made four senior appearances for United before being offloaded to Burnley in 2009.

Tom Cleverley

Big things were expected of the midfielder, now 29, during the formative years of his career.
He ended up making 79 appearances for United before he was sold to Everton in 2015. He now plies his trade at Watford.
Ravel Morrison
Current club: Lazio
One of the most talented players to emerge from United’s youth ranks, Ravel Morrison was offloaded to West Ham in January 2012 after Sir Alex Ferguson gave up on him.
The troubled midfielder is now on Lazio’s books but spent last season with Mexican side Atlas. Now 25, it’s hard to imagine Morrison ever fulfilling his huge potential.
Will Keane
Current club: Hull City
Another player tipped for big things, Will Keane’s career has been blighted by injuries.
Following a series of loan moves to clubs in the Football League, the striker was signed permanently by Hull City in 2016.

The 25-year-old is, of course, now a key player for both Man Utd and England.

Current club: Barnsley
Eyebrows were raised when Zeki Fryers joined Belgian side Standard Liege in 2012.
He wasn’t there long, though. He returned to England a year later, signing for Tottenham before signing for Crystal Palace in 2014. The 25-year-old now plays for Barnsley.
Tom Thorpe
Current club: ATK
The highly-rated defender, now 25, left United for Rotherham in 2015 and now plays for ATK in the Indian Super League.
Tyler Blackett
Current club: Reading
Tyler Blackett made 12 appearances for the Red Devils under Louis van Gaal during the 2014-15 campaign.
He now plays for Championship outfit Reading after leaving Old Trafford in 2016.

Current club: Everton
The twin brother of Will, who also features on this list, the 25-year-old defender left United for Burnley in 2014 and was then joined Everton in a £25 million deal three years later.
Scott Wootton
Current club: Plymouth Argyle
Scott Wootton made four senior appearances for United during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge of United but never played for the English giants again afterwards.
The defender went on to play for Leeds United, MK Dons and is now on the books of League One side Plymouth Argyle.
James Wilson
Current club: Aberdeen (on loan from Man Utd)
James Wilson enjoyed a dream debut, scoring two goals, and then made 17 appearances under Van Gaal during the 2014-15 season.
Another player whose career has suffered because of injuries, the striker is now trying to rebuild his career on loan at Aberdeen, and hopes to put himself in the shop window.
Reece James
Current club: Sunderland
Reece James made one appearance for United before joining Wigan Athletic in 2015.
The 24-year-old now plays for Sunderland in League One.

Current club: Man Utd
Man Utd’s current No. 10, the boy-wonder has played 126 times for the Red Devils and made a further 25 appearances for England.
Axel Tuanzebe
Current club: Aston Villa (on loan from Man Utd)
The 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa, has a big future ahead of him.
Curiously, he broke the Guinness World Record for fastest time to clear a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos in the summer of 2018.
Angel Gomes
Current club: Man Utd
Arguably the most talented player in Man Utd’s youth side right now, 18-year-old Angel Gomes has all the tools required to become a superstar.
Josh Harrop
