Jose Mourinho is not out of the woods just yet.
While Romelu Lukaku's brace ensured Manchester United headed home from Burnley with three points on Sunday, the shadow of their defeats to Brighton and Tottenham is still looming large.
The same could be said of the summer transfer window, in which Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant arrived, but Mourinho failed to bring in any of his centre-back targets.
The Portuguese has attracted further criticism over his man-management of several players, notably Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba.
The former has been largely out of the picture and the latter was under-par in both their early-season losses, admitting:
"There are things I can say and there are things I cannot say... otherwise I will get fined."
Speculation over Pogba's future simply refuses to go away and his relationship with the manager has played no small part in that.
However, according to the Mirror, there has finally been a breakthrough.
Pogba and Mourinho have an agreement
It's reported that the midfielder has recently held talks with Mourinho and they agreed all mention of a potential move away would be put on hold until next summer.
Crucially, that puts an end to Mino Raiola's activities for now.
The super-agent unsuccessfully tried to secure his client a move to Barcelona this summer.
The 25-year-old accepted United's stance, though he is still keen on a transfer to Catalonia at the end of the season due to his relationship with Mourinho and his desire to play in La Liga.
There is also the possibility of a return to Juventus, whom he left in 2016 to return to Old Trafford in a then-world-record £89million deal.
Sir Alex Ferguson famously entered into a similar 'one-more-year' pact with Cristiano Ronaldo before allowing him his dream move to Real Madrid.
Of course, these circumstances are very different. And yet, by following Ferguson's example, it seems Mourinho may have put the Pogba situation to bed, at least in the short term.
