Not many WWE superstars have the sheer aura of being able to turn into a huge Hollywood movie-star, but there's not many quite like Batista.

Batista is probably second-only to The Rock when it comes to an acting career, starring in blockbusters such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Spectre and Avengers: Infinity War.

But his career before that was in the squared circle, where he made a big name for himself after debuting for the 'E in 2002.

Things turned sour in 2010 though as Batista left the company, admitting that he 'didn't like the direction the company was going in', but decided to return in 2014.

The comeback didn't go as planned though - as a large section of the audience wanted Daniel Bryan as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Therefore his Royal Rumble victory went down as a bit of a failure, he even became the fall-guy in the 'Mania 30 main event with Bryan and Randy Orton, tapping out to Bryan's Yes Lock in the middle of the ring.

Batista also put-over The Shield with his Evolution cohorts Orton and Triple H, before leaving once again after a six-month stint - again with 'creative differences' being the issue.

If it was up to Batista though, he would have never left, and he's admitted that he never stops thinking about being in the ring.

"I have to say that it's something I think about daily," stated the six-time world champion to WhatCulture Wrestling, per WrestlingInc.

"I miss it daily. I love it, I have a passion for wrestling. I feel that at the core of me that's just who I am. I'm a physical performer, and I miss it every day."

There are conditions though if the 'Animal' was to come back - and WWE would have to learn from the mistakes they made in Batista's last run.

"I think, one, it would have to be the right time, and two, it would have to be the right opponent. That's pretty much it, and it would have to make sense," said Batista.

"I think the last time I went back was with really good intentions and I felt like I wasn't delivered what I was promised and that was just creatively.

"So, that would be it, I'd have to have a strong say of what I did and who I worked with. It would have to make sense as far as time, not only do I have to be free, but I also have to factor in there is a risk that I would be injured."

There's a long-list of fresh rivalries Batista could be used for - Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns - the list is endless.

But it's all a case of 'what if's' for now, however there will almost certainly be a large section of the WWE Universe willing to see one more Batista run.
