WWE posted a list of the ten best factions in the company's history last week, and it majorly split opinion.

The Shield ranked at number one, ahead of legendary stables such as the Four Horsemen, D-Generation X and the New World Order, sparking outrage from some fans, claiming it was done to push the 'Roman Reigns agenda'.

Recent groups such as The New Day and Nexus have also made it onto the list, and at number 10 there's a place for dominant NXT foursome The Undisputed Era.

One faction who didn't make the list were the Wyatt Family.

A creation of NXT's early days, the Wyatts were originally composed of cult leader Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, feuding with the likes of Kane, John Cena and Daniel Bryan when they arrived on the main roster in 2013.

After splitting up in 2014, the band got back together and added the 'black sheep' Braun Strowman in August 2015, but after the brand split two years ago saw Strowman separated from the group, they only lasted another year before Wyatt was moved to the Raw brand.

Harper and Rowan subsequently won the Smackdown Tag Team Championships earlier this year as the re-branded 'Bludgeon Brothers', but Wyatt is seemingly stuck in a bit of a lull.

Wyatt joined forces with Matt Hardy at WrestleMania 34 after the 'Broken' one had 'deleted' Wyatt a few weeks prior in an 'Ultimate Deletion' bout.

The 'Eater of Worlds' helped Hardy win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and less than three weeks later at the Greatest Royal Rumble, the duo captured the Raw Tag Team titles.

But now Hardy has taken a break from the ring, after he learned that his lower back and pelvis have started fusing together.

And with no timescale on his return, that puts Bray in an awkward predicament, with no plans going forward.

That was until he sent out a very cryptic tweet surrounding WWE's top factions - and hinted at the possibility of the Family getting back together.

"I’m going away now. To find myself. But when I am back, I want you all to remember things like this, that make me do the things I do," Wyatt's tweet stated.

It sounds ominous, but it does seem like we may not see Wyatt in the ring for a few months.

That's disappointing because at full-flow, he can be one of the best workers in the business - but if a hinted Wyatts reunion, or a new, aggressive, title-challenging Wyatt comes back, then it will all be worth it.
