Yesterday, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2018 received their Hall of Fame jackets ahead of their enshrinement into the Hall later today.

Ray Allen, Maurice Cheeks, Lefty Driesell, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Dino Radja, Charlie Scott, Katie Smith, Tina Thompson, Rod Thorn, Ora Mae Washington, and Rick Welts will all be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday.

Allen is one of the highlights on this year's class, as he is the NBA's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 2,973, which is 400 more than the next player on the list.

He also won two NBA titles, one with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and one with the Miami Heat in 2012. He was also named an All-Star three times with three different teams, including with the Seattle SuperSonics.

However, despite their achievements together, Allen doesn't exact any members of his 2008 title-winning team to be at his induction later today due to the bitterness that has lingered since he left for the Heat.

For him, the soon to be Hall of Famer wants the Celtics fans to remember him for the accomplishments he achieved while at the team, and not the hostility he had with his teammates.

Allen said to ESPN on Thursday in a news conference after members of this year's induction class received their Hall of Fame jackets: "People look at how I left, but I look at how I lived while I was [in Boston].

"That to me is the most important time in my life because I had never won. And I was able to win. And that's probably the most important thing that I want people to remember, is the time that we spent together."

Allen understands that because of his history with the Celtics, there are people that look back on his time with the team not too fondly.

"Now, I do understand the angst that people have toward me because they loved [the title team] so much, because I was part of that team and I was part of everything that they did as far as winning.

"But, like we all know, it becomes such a business that you ultimately have to decide when it's time to fold up the tent. You gotta move on. And there's so many different factors in play."
