Jorginho has been a revelation for Chelsea since joining from Napoli this summer.

The Italian central midfielder has completed more passes than any other player in the first four rounds of the Premier League.

Chelsea have won all four matches under Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho has been the standout performer.

The 26-year-old is currently away on international duty with Italy and he played the full 90 minutes in their 1-1 draw with Poland on Friday night.

Jorginho was at fault for Poland's opening goal, losing possession twice before Piotr Zielinski volleyed past Gianluigi Donnarumma.

It was a difficult game for Chelsea's midfield maestro but he did score the equaliser from the penalty spot with 12 minutes remaining.

Jorginho spoke about his performance after the match and Sarri - his coach in London - probably won't appreciate his honesty.

He's been exceptional so far but Premier League managers may use this information to try and nullify Jorginho's impact.

“We were unable to find the right passing lines and therefore have the right tempo. I personally made a lot of mistakes,” Jorginho told Rai Sport, as per talkSPORT.

“When you have a man marking you who is paying no attention whatsoever to the rest of the game and only focusing on you, you have to create space for your teammates. I can’t try dummies or to see more of the ball in those situations.

“I fully admit it wasn’t my best performance and I made a lot of errors, including on the Poland goal.

"I couldn’t see as much of the ball as usual, so I tried to talk more and direct my teammates towards the spaces.

“I can’t just take the ball and run when I’m man-marked constantly. I could egotistically try to keep the ball anyway, but it’s better for the team if I spread the play and find those who have spaces.”

You wonder if Chelsea's next opponents, Cardiff, will try and put a man on top of Jorginho next weekend.
