The Buffalo Bills came into the 2018 NFL season with very low expectations.Despite our fans eye view in the Bills preseason piece saying that he could see an 8-8 finish on the season, Buffalo have always been in contention to have a very high draft pick as they entered the new campaign.A main reason for that has been the quarterback position - which took a huge hit last year after Tyrod Taylor was traded away to the Browns - leaving just Nathan Peterman and rookie Josh Allen at the sports' most important position. After preseason came to a close, the Bills decided to name Peterman as their starter heading into the season - a decision that doesn't exactly inspire confidence in fans or strike fear into the hearts of the opposition. But that's fine. The move was pretty much expected and Peterman will have to do for the Bills, for now at least. But then Buffalo took it too far and released a truly horrific hype video.

Last season, Nathan Peterman threw five interceptions in one half against the Los Angeles Chargers.

You do not create a hype video like that for a former fifth-round pick who has won zero games as a starter. The Bills were playing with fire.

And today, it blew up in their faces.

Peterman and the Bills were getting demolished halfway through the third quarter with a score of 40-0 in favor of the Baltimore Ravens. The quarterback completed just 5 of his 18 passes for 24 yards along with 2 interceptions.

He was then benched for Allen - the biggest of all "project" quarterbacks.

After the game, Bills coach Sean McDermott said he's going to "examine the tape" before deciding who starts next week against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Hopefully, the Buffalo Bills media team will study their own tape and learn what not to do in the future.
