There's no doubt that The Shield are one of WWE's greatest ever factions.

Right now, they're proving that on RAW.

SHIELD DOMINATION

Roman Reigns is the Universal Champion - and he's expected to hold the red brand's top prize for a very long time.

Seth Rollins currently holds the Intercontinental title after picking up a victory over Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam last month - and he'll likely have a long run with the workhorse belt.

On top of already holding two titles between them, the stable have a chance to pick up one more at Hell in a Cell.

That's because Rollins and Dean Ambrose will challenge Ziggler and Drew McIntyre for the Tag Team Championship on Sunday.

If they're successful, then The Shield will hold all of RAW's male title belts - and that would be quite an achievement.

However, there's still one person that needs to be convinced about just how great Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose are.

NOT IMPRESSED

That person is Hulk Hogan. During a recent interview with TMZ, the former nWo member said that even though it's been over 20 years, his old stable would still kick The Shield's ass.

"We would murder the bums, brother! We would kill 'em!" he said while cutting a WWE style promo.

"We laid the groundwork for taking shortcuts. We laid the ground rules. There’s no substitute for victory. I used to wrestle with Roman Reigns’ dad.

"You’ve seen the pictures of me holding Roman Reigns as a baby. Come on. We taught them almost everything that we know."

It's certainly an interesting take - and one that fans have no doubt thought about before.

What would happen if a prime nWo took on The Shield? We'll never know of course, but we may still see the two stables share the ring one day.

HOGAN'S RETURN

Earlier this summer, there was a lot of speculation surrounding the return of Hogan - and the rest of nWo for that matter.

It's public knowledge that HH has been seen backstage with WWE, while he's also been seen filming with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

Reports around the former star have gone a bit quiet recently, but there's still a chance we'll see him back in WWE soon - so a stable vs stable match could well be on the cards.
