You certainly don't need to be a lip-reader to pick up on what he was saying.

Amazingly, the French referee Clement Turpin didn't punish Rose for dissent, despite the fact he pretty much shouted straight in his face.

Rose admitted after the game that England players were shouting at each other in the dressing room at half-time after their performance.

"It's great we can all shout at each other and tell each other to improve like we did," he said. "In the end, we are over the moon to keep a clean sheet and get back to winning ways.

"The morale we have set within the squad is fantastic and we have taken off where we left off in the summer.

"We spoke at half-time and we weren't happy with how we were playing, but we took control after the break and got the goal."

Aside from his outburst, Rose done his England credentials the world of good against Switzerland.
