No one can deny Liverpool are strong Premier League title contenders this season.

Following a promising summer transfer window that saw Jurgen Klopp spend £170m on four new players, the Reds have all won all of their games so far and are currently top of the table.

They've also scored nine goals and only conceded once, so it's a wonder who exactly can stop Liverpool.

One man who's worried by what this Liverpool side are capable of is Manchester United legend Gary Neville. In a recent interview with the Times, he said he can see them going all the way.

"As a United fan, I am very concerned about them," said Neville. "This front three have always been fantastic and now the midfield can run, it can pass, it has depth.

"And the back four looks a unit. The football they are playing under Klopp, it's fantastic. As a United fan, that's a worry because it is still that mentality of, 'Anyone but them.'

"Same for them, anyone but us. That's not, 'Gary Neville he's a Red, he hates Scousers.' Those days have gone. I am more thoughtful now.

"But it's a worry. I got a glimpse a few years ago when Brendan Rodgers was going for it, thousands lining the streets, the fireworks before a game.

"I thought then, 'Imagine if they win this.' I was turning up at Anfield three hours early because I couldn't get into the ground otherwise.

"I might have to come off Sky Sports if Liverpool win the league."

Liverpool also harbour hopes of challenging in the Champions League as well as the Premier League, though Neville has his doubts about Europe.

Neville has risked the wrath of Liverpool fans by saying they should ignore the Champions League and focus on winning the Premier League, which hasn't really been discussed as of yet.

"The Champions League - if I was Liverpool, I would kick it into touch," added the former England right-back.

"I know that's very hard to do but if they could go into February, March, April without it, I think they could have a real chance if they had free weeks.

"Why? I think their method is exhausting for the front three. The drop in quality below them, if there are injuries or playing Wednesday, Saturday, I think it will take its toll."

Sorry Liverpool fans, but Neville might be right on this occasion. The style of play Klopp enforces is taxing on the players and it's hard to picture them challenging on all fronts all season.

Liverpool can't afford to rest Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino if they want to win both competitions - but that's just not possible with such a hectic fixture list.
