The watching WWE Universe collectively cringed when Brie Bella botched a suicide dive on Monday Night Raw last week.

In her first match since WrestleMania in 2016 - if you discount the first-ever women's Royal Rumble last January - Brie hit the ropes as she went to fly to the outside on the Riott Squad's Sarah Logan.

It was pretty embarrassing, but also could have ended much, much worse than it did. So when she went for the same move again a few minutes later, the crowd couldn't believe what they were witnessing.

Yet again, Bella misjudged the move and landed on the floor in-front of Logan and Ruby Riott, and a shocked sound reverberated through the arena.

She will compete at this Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, teaming with her husband Daniel Bryan to face The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team bout, and surely she will be looking to get the fans talking for the right reasons this time.

It will have been a tough climb to get back into ring-shape for Brie, having given birth to daughter Birdie in May 2017.

But with the changes she's gone through, Brie now understands she can't do some things like she did before giving birth, as she found out the hard way.

“With any type of physical body change, it changes so much,” said Bella.

“Even last week on ‘Raw’ when I did the suicide dive and it was less momentum than I should have had, I forgot that I’m 10 pounds heavier than what I was. Gravity doesn’t lie. That was a little different for me.

I don’t mind if I fail or if I succeed. No matter what, I want to look back with no regrets.

If I fail, last week for example, I went to sleep at night and I was kind of bummed out, but I learned something about myself. I learned where my body is at, where I am at.”

When you put her words into perspective, it does make sense.

Not many women will give birth then try and get back into the ring, and even if they do, it will probably never be the same.

The major positive is that Brie is working on her newer look to transform her in-ring work, and if it's anything like the brutal shots she gave Zelina Vega on SmackDown Live, she may just surprise one or two people.
