On Saturday afternoon, Unai Emery's Arsenal secured a 2-1 Premier League win at Newcastle thanks to second-half goals from Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil.
It was the first time Arsenal have won back-to-back away games since the 2016/17 season.
The Gunners struggled to create opportunities in the first half but were far and away the better side after the break.
Xhaka, often criticised by the Arsenal fan base, broke the deadlock with a sensational free-kick that Martin Dubravka could only get fingertips on.
And he played an important role in Ozil's goal nine minutes later.
Xhaka wasn't the only Arsenal player to be showered with praise at St James' Park.
Uruguayan international Lucas Torreira moved to Arsenal from Sampdoria in the summer but is still yet to make his first start.
The 22-year-old midfielder was brought on at half-time to replace Matteo Guendouzi.
Arsenal fans on social media were greatly impressed by Torreira's second-half display and noticed the impact he made on Xhaka's performance too.
Torreira could make his first start for Arsenal when they face Vorskla in the Europa League on Thursday night.
However, Emery may consider resting him for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Everton.
Evidently, Arsenal fans want to see a Xhaka-Torreira pivot in the heart of midfield.
Guendouzi, also signed this summer, has performed well next to Xhaka but surely won't be surprised to find himself on the substitutes bench nex Sunday.
Legendary Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva believes Torreira can have the same impact as N'Golo Kante.
“Can he have the same impact as Kante? I hope so,” said Gilberto, as per the Evening Standard.
“The Premier League is not easy. You have to work hard to be considered a top player and progress game to game, season to season.
“But he’s got the potential. We saw that at the World Cup, where he did a great job for Uruguay.
“I watched him in the World Cup. He did a very good job. If you see the way he plays, he plays the game very simply, he makes things easy for him on the field."
