QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has agreed a new contract tying him to Loftus Road until 2014.

The Argentinian was signed by previous manager Jim Magilton from Institute for £3.5million in the summer of 2009 and was named Rangers' player of the year last season.

Faurlin began the current campaign well until he suffered a hamstring injury, but he is expected to be back in contention after the international break.

The 24-year-old has made 50 appearances for Rangers in all competitions.
