Paulo Dybala produced a stunning piece of skill during Juventus 2-1 Sassuolo

Juventus continue to top Serie A after they beat Sassuolo 2-1 in a highly eventful contest at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

The match will undoubtedly be remembered for two contrasting moments - Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his first goal for Juve and Douglas Costa totally losing his head.

Ronaldo ended up bagging a brace to get up and running in style, while Costa was sent off for unsporting behaviour which included spitting at an opposition player.

Due to Gonzalo Higuain's departure and Cristiano's £99.2 million arrival from Real Madrid, Paulo Dybala has gone relatively under the radar so far this season.

However, the talented forward reminded everyone of his true capabilities with a simply stunning piece of trickery against Sassuolo.

Dybala's up and down season

Of course, it's very early days, but Dybala has been in and out of Massimiliano Allegri's starting XI this term and faces stiff competition in the attacking positions.

The Argentina international is competing with Costa, Mario Mandzukic, Juan Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and, of course, Ronaldo for a spot in Juve's front three.

Dybala is yet to find the back of the net in 2018-19 but provided a glimpse of his undeniable quality on Sunday by pulling off an exquisite nutmeg.

Dybala pulls off superb skill

As you can see below, the 24-year-old wowed Juve supporters nine minutes into the game with a superb back-heeled flick through the legs of a Sassuolo player.

Dybala then proceeded to collect the ball on the other side and pass it to Ronaldo, who was lurking outside the penalty area - and fans enjoyed it.

Check out a couple of reactions on Twitter to Dybala's skill:

The dynamic forward scored a career-best 26 goals last season and could easily form a lethal partnership with Ronaldo if Allegri gets them firing at the same time.
