David Beckham's new Major League Soccer team is finally starting to take shape.

Its name is Club Internacional de Futbol Miami - or Inter Miami CF for short - and earlier this month the club's badge was also unveiled.

Featuring a black circular background, pink and white lettering and a crest in the middle with two herons inside, the logo is rather striking.

Inter Miami will make its bow in the MLS in 2020 and Beckham claims his franchise will be "a home for all".

"Club Internacional de Futbol Miami is a name that celebrates the incredible energy of one of the most exciting cities in the world," said the 43-year-old.

"One that is diverse, passionate and ambitious - a city that has welcomed me and so many others, so warmly.

"Our club will be a home for all - no matter where you are from or how you got here. This is just the beginning of our journey as we continue to build towards our first game in 2020.

INTER MIAMI IS BORN

"We are extremely excited to offer the team's identity to Miami and the world.

"This team will thrive on the principles of solidarity, passion, innovation, tenacity and inclusivity and embodies all of them in every aspect of our daily work - on and off the field."

With a new club brings new players and a number of big names have already been linked with moves to Inter Miami.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Radamel Falcao and James Milner are all reported targets for Beckham.

Also on the Manchester United and England legend's radar is Lionel Messi and the Daily Mail have given good reason why a move could actually happen.

Messi has previously stated he wants to retire at Barcelona yet it's always been thought he could return to Argentina one day with youth club Newell's Old Boys.

However, due to problems with the national team the latter option is unlikely, so the 31-year-old might just be tempted by Beckham in Miami due to 70 per cent of the population being Latino.

Messi is also Latino and it's thought that he and his family would be given more freedom and feel right at home there.

Beckham has two years to work his magic with the Barcelona man, who will be 33 years old in 2020, and it certainly sounds like his franchise has a lot to offer.
