Mohamed Salah became a major talking point during the win over Paris Saint-Germain.Liverpool got their Champions League campaign off to the perfect start against the French champions with goals from Sadio Mane, James Milner and Roberto Firmino inspiring a 3-2 victory.PSG had rattled nerves within Anfield after fighting back to 2-2 but the late winner ensured that strikers from Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe were rendered futile.Around all that positivity, though, there wasn't much to cheer about for Salah who wasn't at his best and was replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri during the closing stages of the game.He even attracted some unwanted publicity when match footage appeared to show Salah having a worrying reaction to Firmino's winning goal.

Salah attracted attention vs PSG

The clip of him throwing his water bottle has now been addressed and his celebration was simply edited out.

Nevertheless, that didn't detract from Salah's performance and especially after the drama surrounding his relationship with Sadio Mane after the Tottenham victory.

Fans remain confidence that the Egyptian will kick on this season, though, and find the form that saw him prove so lethal across 2017-18.

Liverpool fans made worrying observation

However, fans couldn't help making a worrying observation during the PSG game that could potentially explain his wavering form of late.

Salah suffered a major shoulder injury during the Champions League final in May after a tackle from Sergio Ramos and it impeded his performances at the World Cup as a result.

And fans noticed that when Salah changed his Liverpool shirt this week, that he appears to be using shoulder strapping no less than four months after the injury.

Although it could be precautionary, it shows there are still worries about his shoulder and it couldn't help unnerving Liverpool fans on Twitter. Check out the reaction below:

Considering the severity of the injury, Salah's recovery has seemingly been accelerated.

Suggesting a dip in form revolves around his shoulder injury could prove something of a stretch, but it goes to show that the Liverpool star hasn't fully recovered from the knock.

And with Liverpool playing at such high intensity and in games against high-level opponents, you can understand why Kopites would be perturbed by the presence of padding.

Aggravating the injury once again would, after all, pose quite the threat to Liverpool's chances this season.

There's a belief that the Reds could go all the way in the Premier League and are believed to be the biggest threat to Manchester City.

Liverpool fans will now have their fingers crossed that Salah's shoulder heels, so no strapping is required and his 2017-18 form can return as soon as possible.
