Somewhere at Olympiacos HQ, you get the feeling Yaya Toure and his agent have been waiting for Manchester City's first defeat of the season. It came in the Champions League last night, as Pep Guardiola's men suffered a surprise 2-1 loss at home to Lyon.Bernardo Silva's 67th-minute strike proved nothing more than a consolation, with Maxwel Cornet and Nabil Fekir already having done the damage.Guardiola was not on the touchline to influence the game as the Catalan was serving a touchline ban, meaning he had to watch from up in the stands. Assistant Mikel Arteta took his place. However, Toure's controversial agent Dimitry Seluk laid the blame for the defeat firmly at the manager's door. The midfielder left the Etihad in strange circumstances; at the age of 35, he was past his best and he no longer looked the same player.Seluk, on the other hand, put it down to a personal vendetta on the part of Guardiola, whom Toure had claimed had an agenda against African players."He turned all Africa against himself, many African fans turned away from Manchester City."And I'm sure that many African shamans in the future will not allow Guardiola to win the Champions League," Seluk said in June, per the Mirror."This will be for Guardiola an African curse. Life will show whether I am right or not."

Seluk reignites the war

Then, as City slipped to their fourth consecutive Champions League defeat, he tweeted the following:

Somewhat needless and irrelevant, but it suggests Toure's camp have not forgotten about the manner of his departure.

Football fans weren't impressed

Unsurprisingly, it didn't go down well:

There have been occasions when the former Barcelona star has appeared embarrassed by his agent's antics, previously imploring him to make up with Guardiola to avoid him being frozen out at City.

It worked for a time, but it's a pity to see there is still so much bad blood between the Ivorian and a club where he is still regarded as a legend by many for his role in their 2011/12 and 2013/14 titles, albeit not the most recent one.
