Kawhi Leonard is yet to play a competitive game for the Toronto Raptors but there is already serious talk about him leaving the team next summer in free agency.

If the forward doesn't accept his 2019-20 option with the Raptors and does hit free agency, he will be one of the best players on the market, meaning there will be plenty of teams interested in him.

Leonard will have plenty of options to choose from as a free agent, but according to reports, there's already a clear front-runner for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year's services.

According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Los Angeles Clippers are the front-runners for Kawhi's services if he were to become a free agent next summer.

This makes sense considering what we've heard about Leonard and his team desires recently.

It has recently been reported that the former San Antonio Spurs star wants to stay away from the media spotlight that comes with playing alongside LeBron James.

It has also been stated that Kawhi doesn't want to be a part of the celebrity culture that comes with playing at such a well-known franchise like the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, what hasn't disappeared is his desire to play in the California area, the place where he is from, so it's unsurprising that he sees the Clippers as front-runners for his services.

The Clippers would not only be able to bring Leonard to the franchise, but they have enough cap space to sign another star player as well.

This would further attract the forward more to playing for the Los Angeles franchise than what he already is.

However, don't count out Kawhi's current team, the Raptors, out of the picture yet, as they're already doing everything they can in order to retain the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Los Angeles has always been the desired destination for Leonard ever since he made his trade request with the Spurs earlier this offseason.
