The build-up for Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor will officially kick off later today when the two come face to face with one another for a press conference.

Khabib and McGregor will face each other in UFC 229's press conference at the Radio City Music Hall in New York later today before facing each other in the Octagon on October 6 in Las Vegas.

The Russian, however, has already decided that he wants to have some fun at the expense of the Irishman ahead of their press conference later today.

The UFC Lightweight Champion posted an edited video of Notorious at previous press conferences, replacing his voice with chicken noises instead.

The video, which you can see further down in this article, is bound to only heat up a rivalry which has exploded over the past year ahead of their press conference.

When Khabib and McGregor do battle inside the Octagon on October 6 in the main event of UFC 229, it will be for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

This will also be Notorious' first UFC fight since he defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November 2016, which was also for the UFC Lightweight title.

The Eagle was looking for a fight against the Irishman even then, but at this point in time, McGregor was looking to book an even bigger fight in the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather.

Many UFC fans will know that the Khabib and McGregor rivalry reached new heights following McGregor's bus attack during UFC 223 fight week.

Now that criminal case is in the past, this rivalry can go back to being inside the Octagon.

However, UFC fans know that even before UFC 229, Notorious will be providing some entertainment for their rivalry during press conferences in the build-up to the event.

With that in mind, and with their press conference later today, you could probably put good money on McGregor not allowing this dig from Khabib on Twitter to slide without a response.
