Bury's influential striker Ryan Lowe has signed a two-year contract extension that keeps him at Gigg Lane until the end of the 2012/2013 season.

The 32-year-old Liverpudlian joined the Shakers from Chester in July 2009 and duly scored 18 goals in his debut campaign last season to top the club's goalscoring charts.

And Lowe has started this season where he left off having already found the net seven times, on Thursday earning him the League Two Player-of the Month award for September.
