Despite DeMar DeRozan's blockbuster trade to the San Antonio taking place two months ago, he's still annoyed about the way he was treated by the Toronto Raptors. The shooting guard committed his future to the franchise in 2016 when he re-signed in free agency on a five-year, $139 million deal. But they chose not to remain loyal to him as they decided to ship him to San Antonio in exchange for Kawhi Leonard.

Going for 50

DeRozan will return to Toronto for the first time on January 3 in an eagerly anticipated showdown.

The four-time All-Star definitely has that date circled on his calendar and has revealed that he'll be aiming to drop 50 points on his former team.

Appearing on former Raptors teammate Serge Ibaka's cooking show on YouTube called “How Hungry Are You?”, he warned the big man that he'll be a man on a mission when he plays Toronto.

“Probably go for 50 (points). I’m gonna foul you out. I’m gonna foul (Jonas Valanciunas) out. I’m telling you,” he said.

The 29-year-old was speaking in a humorous tone but you can tell that he certainly meant what he was saying.

He then later took to Twitter to post a cryptic message which was seemingly aimed at the Raptors.

With the additions of Leonard and Danny Green, the Raps should be one of the best defensive teams in the league so you wouldn't expect them to give up 50 to a player they know so well.

But it's crazy what players can do when they play with a massive chip on their shoulder so you can't rule out the possibility of DeRozan being true to his word.

Coming to terms

It's clear that it'll take more than a couple of months for the All-NBA guard to get over the trade and he may need to put in a dominant performance against his old team to get some closure.

In an interview with ESPN's Chris Haynes after the trade in July, he described how he was shocked and blindsided by the team's decision.

"I felt like I wasn't treated with what I sacrificed for nine years, with the respect that I thought I deserved," DeRozan said.

"By just giving me the say so of letting me know something's going on or it's a chance. That's all I wanted. That's all I wanted.

"I'm not saying, 'You don't have to trade me' or ... just let me know something is going on because I sacrificed everything. Just let me know. That's all I asked."

His comeback game at the Air Canada Centre was already one to look forward to but DeRozan has now spiced it up even further with his bold promise.
