Chelsea endured their worst performance of the season so far on Sunday against West Ham.

Maurizio Sarri's new-look Blues side were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by the Hammers at the London Stadium after five wins on the bounce.

And summer signing Andriy Yarmolenko could have snatched all three points for the hosts had his close-range header found the target late on.

Chelsea's performance exposed some of their flaws; there's a noticeable lack of goals from midfield and their attack is heavily reliant on Eden Hazard.

Olivier Giroud is a great target man, but the Frenchman will never be the prolific goal scorer this Chelsea side is crying out for.

Brazilian winger Willian was also heavily criticised for his performance against the Hammers in place of the injured Pedro Rodriguez.

What didn't help the 30-year-old's cause later on in the evening was the display by Lyon's Bertand Traore, who the Blues sold back in 2017.

The Burkina Faso winger scored two goals and won his side a penalty in the 4-2 win over Marseille.

You can watch his personal highlights below.

TRAORE'S STUNNING PERFORMANCE

Not bad, eh?

Traore made just 10 senior appearances during his short spell at Chelsea between 2014 and 2017 - he was sent out on loan twice to Vitesse and Ajax.

But now, he's beginning to look the real deal and Blues fans think he would be perfect for the right-wing role under Sarri at the expense of Willian.

CHELSEA FANS REACT

You can understand their point.

While Willian has the talent and has dazzled at times, his lack of concentration and consistency has cost the Blues dear on occasions.

The fact Sarri clearly already prefers Pedro as the right-winger in his system makes keeping Willian in the summer look even more bizarre.

It was reported that Barcelona offered around £60m for the Brazilian, which given his age and weaknesses would have been a ridiculous coup.
