What a ping. Even David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne will be mightily impressed.

Foden has made seven Premier League appearances for Man City but is still looking to make his first league start.

Despite his lack of playing time, Guardiola recently suggested that Foden could soon be playing for the England national team.

The Man City boss said: “His [Foden] work ethic is excellent and he will have a lot of minutes this season and after that Gareth [Southgate] has his own decision.

“He’s here. If he was not ready, he would not be here.”
