This week's RAW was full of non-stop action, as WWE rolls towards their next big pay-per-view event.

On October 6, the promotion lands down under, as Super Show-Down airs live from Melbourne, Australia.

On the card, there are a number of top RAW matches, and this week's show was used to build up to some of them.

THE BEST ACTION

Much of the narrative surrounded The Shield's bout against The Dogs of War - as that's got main event potential for October's event.

The Hounds of Justice opened the show, but it wasn't long before Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre tried to drive a wedge between the faction's members.

According to Ziggler, Dean Ambrose "doesn't need" his Shield Brothers, and The Showoff offered him a chance to turn his back on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins - and join the heels instead.

The tease of an Ambrose turn continued all the way through the show until the ending of the main event, which saw The Shield take on Baron Corbin and AOP in a six-man tag match.

NO TURN

Even with The Dogs of War trying to cause a rift between WWE's workhorses, Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose were successful on Monday night, closing the show with a win.

RAW went off the air as The Shield stood tall in the ring, suggesting that Dean's turn won't be happening... at least not for now.

Although all this action built towards Super Show-Down and closed this week's show, it turns out that Vince McMahon was actually more impressed with another segment - one that didn't involve The Shield.

IMPRESSING THE BOSS

According to Dave Meltzer, who's been speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio (per Ringside News), Vince was 'very high' on The Revival's match against the RAW Tag Team champions, Ziggler and McIntyre.

This is very interesting, considering that up until a couple of weeks ago, The B-Team held the belts, and many fans thought the whole division was a bit of a joke.

Now, with two of WWE's top heels wearing the belts, it seems that McMahon himself is more invested in this aspect of RAW - and that can only be good news.

We don't know if The Revival will get a renewed push after their impressive showing on Monday, but the fact that the boss has seriously taken notice is brilliant for them.
