The Paul Pogba v Jose Mourinho saga is threatening to overshadow Manchester United’s season.Matters escalated on Wednesday morning when Sky Sports captured their frosty meeting at training. It’s unclear what was said between the pair, although many believe Mourinho told Pogba to “get out”.Yet a body language expert isn’t required to tell that the Man United boss and his £89 million midfielder are not getting on right now.Pogba was critical of United’s tactics in their 1-1 draw against Wolves on Saturday and has since been stripped of the vice-captaincy.And the Daily Mail are now reporting that the Frenchman is eager to join Barcelona.Their confrontation at Man United’s training ground came the morning after their embarrassing exit at the hands of Derby County in the Carabao Cup.

Pogba's Wi-Fi issues

Pogba was rested for the encounter, but he still managed to cause controversy with an Instagram post he shared during the match.

The 25-year-old was laughing alongside Andreas Pereira while they sat together in the stands.

The video went out at 10:28pm, suggesting it had been posted after United’s penalty shootout defeat.

The Sun have reported that Pogba recorded the clip during the first half - but that Wi-Fi issues at Old Trafford meant it was published much later.

That is the cause of Mourinho’s frustration, and their dispute in training. The Portuguese coach asked Man United’s press officer, John Allen, what time Pogba posted on Instagram.

Mourinho was satisfied with the full explanation and the matter is now settled.

Except it may cause lasting, irreparable issues between the pair.

Mourinho has failed to get the best out of Pogba following his arrival in 2016, and the midfielder’s comments after the draw to Wolves suggest he’s not enthralled with the current system.

“We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves,” the Frenchman said.

“When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack.”
