Manchester United's start to the season couldn't have been much worse.Jose Mourinho's side are seventh in the Premier League having picked up 10 points from their opening six games. They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night after suffering a surprise defeat to Derby County. To compound their problems further, Mourinho has had a very public falling out with Paul Pogba. The two have had a turbulent relationship for some time and tensions boiled over in Man United training on Wednesday.Mourinho could be seen telling Pogba to 'get out' of training after being annoyed by an Instagram post Pogba made during the club's defeat to Derby. There have now been major reports of a dressing room divide as a result of the feud.It was reported earlier that Pogba had created a 'rebel group'  at the club which consisted of himself, Eric Bailly and Anthony Martial.

But Jose Mourinho has a lot of backing of his own.

The Mirror have now described the situation as a 'civil war' and have given the names of five Man United players that are firmly on Mourinho's side.

They start by naming Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic as two of the senior players that are backing Mourinho.

"Mourinho does still have backing from a number of senior players at the club, most notably Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic, both in their thirties and who demand the best from their teammates as they look to land further trophies in the latter part of their careers," the report reads.

And Antonio Valencia, Marouane Fellaini and Alexis Sanchez are three others that are 'determined to repay Mourinho for his faith in them.'

"Club captain Antonio Valencia. Marouane Fellaini - for whom Mourinho went to bat over a new contract - and Alexis Sanchez are three more experienced campaigners determined to repay Mourinho for his faith in them and are part of a larger group for whom the decision to strip Pogba of the captaincy wasn't 'unpopular'," the report adds.

So there we have it. By the sounds of things, Mourinho has the backing of the older heads in the group, while the younger members of the team are on Pogba's side.

Regardless, it's still a awful situation to be in for Mourinho and he will want to resolve this mess as soon as possible.
