The 2018-19 season for the Golden State Warriors could be a historic season as they look to make it three NBA Championships in a row, something which hasn't been achieved since the Los Angeles Lakers did it in the early 2000s.

However, this season could mark an end of an era for the Warriors as well, as they have several players who could all be free agents come summer next year.

Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson could all move on from Golden State within the next two years, changing the complete look of the franchise.

For many teams, the desire for a player to play well in a contract year in order to receive a big deal could disrupt a team's goal over the duration of the season.

Steph Curry, however, doesn't believe the uncertain contract status of Durant, Cousins, Green and Thompson will be an issue during the season.

He said, via 247 Sports: "We have five preseason games, 82 regular-season games and hopefully 16 wins in the Playoffs, and then you can ask all the questions you want.

"I think KD is going to have that perspective, DeMarcus had that perspective, even Draymond and Klay with their contract situations, you can nit-pick everything, and that's what's going to happen.

"It's part of what we do for a living. But the best teams and the best individuals are able to shut that out when it comes to playing basketball and enjoying the opportunity that we have as a team to do that."

Cousins' and Thompson's contracts with the Warriors expire at the end of the season, while Durant's contract could expire then too if he decides to pick up his 2019 option.

Green's contract doesn't expire until 2020, but any big deals which Golden State completes with any of the three names mentioned above will drastically affect any deal which he receives the following year.

The Warriors are one of the favourites once more in the Western Conference, now it's just a case of living up to that expectation once more.
