This weekend, Liverpool and Chelsea will meet in a mouthwatering clash between the early season pacesetters in the English Premier League, and while there will be a plethora of quality players on view at Stamford Bridge, both sets of supporters will invariably be looking to some inspiration from their undoubted talismans namely Mo Salah and Eden Hazard.

Salah, Liverpool's Egyptian king and Hazard, Chelsea's Belgian wizard, have become the focal point of their respective club's ambitions and have led many to wonder and debate who actually is the superior player.

If goals are the sole rationale for choosing one of these phenomenal attacking talents, then Salah would probably be an automatic choice.

The Egyptian struggled in his initial foray into English football at Chelsea under former manager Jose Mourinho in 2014 but carved out a reputation as a lightning-fast winger with an eye for goal in successful spells in Italy, initially on loan at Fiorentina and then a couple of stunning seasons with Roma.

Jurgen Klopp was certainly impressed by the skills and clinical finishing he saw on his scouting expeditions to the eternal city and signed Salah with a view to forming an exciting attacking trident with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The German coach was confident that the Egyptian would flourish under his system but can hardly have expected the avalanche of goals that followed.

Salah netted over 40 times for the Reds in his first season and became an instant folk hero amongst the Liverpool faithful, with international recognition coming in the shape of being recently awarded third place in FIFA's best player of the year.

Hazard has lit up English football since his arrival from Lille in 2012. The mesmeric dribbling ability of the Belgian has helped Chelsea to two Premier League titles during his spell at the club but after an astonishing series of displays at the recent World Cup, the number 10 has seemingly raised his game to an even higher level.

The arrival of Maurizio Sarri to the Chelsea hot seat has seen Hazard revel in the offensive shape which the Italian coach favours.

Emboldened by his freedom to concentrate on his attacking duties his displays have been sensational, capped off with an increased productivity in front of goal, highlighted by his sumptuous strike in the Carabao Cup midweek against this weekends opponents.

GiveMeSport conducted a poll on Facebook earlier this week to discover who fans would rather see in their team.

An astonishing 117,000 votes later and we can reveal that the Chelsea magician has won the poll with an impressive 73% of all votes cast.

Perhaps the comparatively slow start to the campaign by the 26-year-old Egyptian, coming after an underwhelming and injury-hit World Cup has affected his showing in our poll, however, the man the whole football world is talking about right now is Eden Hazard and it no surprise to see how highly he is regarded by football fans.

This weekend we can savour these two great players in action on the same field. It is surely not to be missed.
