WWE Super Show-Down will come live to our screens in six days from Australia, in what promises to be a truly action-packed affair.

Many will think it's a glorified house show, but it seems so much more than that.

The majority of the bouts should accelerate rivalries towards WWE Evolution, Crown Jewel and Survivor Series, unlike the gimmick-fueled Saudi Arabia shows, which have showcased a huge 50-man Royal Rumble and will host the 'WWE World Cup' in November.

Of course there's an ulterior motive for WWE to produce special events overseas, and that's money.

You're probably right to assume that both countries have paid over-the-odds to host pay-per-views, and it may also be the reason that the likes of The Undertaker and Triple H are competing, and also why Shawn Michaels could be coming out of retirement in Riyadh.

Even though Super Show-Down is a pretty big deal, you'd expect to be watching as a WWE fan for around three hours or so, which is pretty standard for a regular special event nowadays.

But the WWE Network has published its listings for the week, and the time-slot for SSD has been revealed - and it just seems so unnecessarily long.

The event has been given five hours to complete, which is over an hour longer than the most recent edition of SummerSlam, an event that's been around for over 20 years.

Overall, the match card seems pretty good, but with 10 matches to complete, it definitely does not need to be five hours, much of the watching WWE Universe will probably be suffering from burnout by the end of the show.

But it's clear to see that Vince McMahon is pushing Super Show-Down as a high priority, and if it proves to be a success, there will only be one person laughing all the way to the bank.
