Deontay Wilder has not held back on British boxing star Anthony Joshua following an appearance on Good Morning Britain. The American was on the show alongside fellow heavyweight Tyson Fury, promoting their upcoming bout in December. However, despite it not being the main reason for his television appearance, it did not stop Wilder from having a dig at Joshua in a wholehearted rant, which had him staring directly into the camera and directing his message firmly at the British star.“Hey Joshua, me and Fury about to get this thing going on, baby. We about to see who is the biggest and the baddest in the world. One champion, one face, one name.”A potential bout between Joshua and Wilder seemed to be edging closer earlier this year with their respective teams locked in talks, but Joshua opted for mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin, who he beat with a seventh-round stoppage. This has infuriated Wilder and he did not hold back in his rant, telling Joshua exactly what he thought of him.“You was a coward. You was a coward and you know this. Your whole team know this,” Wilder insisted.“You manipulator. You contradict. You compulsive liar.”The whole boxing world wanted to see Joshua and Wilder step into a ring this year, but the wait must go on before the two undefeated heavyweights can finally clash.

If Joshua was to beat Wilder, he would become the undisputed heavyweight champion. Therefore, Joshua’s choice to avoid the American once more has led many to suggest that he is following a set career plan, something Wilder has become increasingly frustrated with.

“This is an emotional sport. Of course I’m going to show all the emotion because enough is enough. It is what it is. If you didn’t want to fight just say.

"Barry (Hearn) already told y’all it’s six to eight proper career plan and Deontay Wilder weren’t in it from the start, so don’t drag these people along.”

Wilder will now fight Fury in Los Angeles on December 1 in front of a capacity crowd.

It seems almost impossible that Joshua will be able to avoid him if he comes out victorious, which would set up the biggest heavyweight clash of recent years.
