Patrick Mahomes became the Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback by default earlier in the year when the decision was made to trade away Alex Smith. The veteran quarterback was shipped off to the Washington Redskins in return for a third-round pick and cornerback Kendall Fuller, a third-year player who was taken 84th overall in the 2016 Draft. After a year riding the bench and learning from Smith, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid decided it was time to unleash the former Texas Tech gunslinger on the rest of the NFL. It's safe to say the move has paid off so far, and last night was the latest testament of that.Facing off against the Denver Broncos and one of the top defenses in the National Football League, the Chiefs went into Mile High Stadium and came away with a 27-23 win that saw them move onto 4-0 and continue looking like a certainty to reach the Super Bowl come February. Mahomes himself had another impressive performance, completing 28 of his 45 pass attempts for 300+ yards, with a passing touchdown and one on the ground to boot. But it was one play in particular from last night that stands out the most. And we just had to highlight it. The incredible moment came with three minutes left in the game and the Chiefs trailing by three points. On 3rd-and-5, the Broncos sent a blitz that should've left Mahomes in the dirt. Von Miller got free of any pass block around the edge and was bearing down on the Chiefs QB. Facing a sack that would have almost certainly won the Broncos the game, Mahomes somehow managed to escape out of the pocket. Rolling to his left, the wonderkid found switched the ball over to his left hand to protect from a fumble and managed to find Tyreek Hill for a pass that extended the drive. You can take a look at it here...

NFL fans were in disbelief about what they saw and they know one thing, Mahomes is the real deal.

We are going to have a lot of fun watching Mahomes in this Chiefs offense for another decade. Hopefully, things all go to plan.
