Kevin Nash was an iconic figure for wrestling in the 1990s - not just in WWF, but for WCW as well.

After gaining traction in the early and mid-90s as Diesel, who was a bodyguard for Shawn Michaels before branching out and winning the WWF Championship himself, Nash made the crossover to World Championship Wrestling under his real name.

It was during that time where Nash, along with Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall, formed the New World Order, the popular villainous faction that's arguably the most well-known of all time.

The nWo eventually branched into the WWF in 2002 when WCW was purchased by Vince McMahon, but Nash suffered recurring injuries and left in 2004.

After seven years in TNA Wrestling, he returned to WWE on a Legends contract, but only makes sporadic appearances, and did not show for the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw this past January.

That episode was heavily focused on stars of the past returning, the company even went to the lengths of also broadcasting from the Manhattan Center where Raw was filmed on a weekly basis when it started.

The returns of Triple H and The Undertaker for a match at Super Show-Down has caused a great debate on the usage of part-time wrestlers and there popularity as opposed to the current full-time roster, and Nash has decided to give his opinion on the likes of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

“No one cares about the young guys," stated Nash to Sporting News.

"When I watched SummerSlam that [Undertaker and Triple H] package caught my eye and made me want to see that match.

"I don’t know if I want to see Roman Reigns versus Undertaker again. What more of a rub can you give than that? He’s [been] given rubs before and they just aren’t getting over.”

Slightly controversial opinion from Nash there - and it's not necessarily true at all.

There's no denying that the likes of Taker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels all get huge reactions still because they were iconic figures in WWE's peak times in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

But the likes of Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Charlotte Flair and Daniel Bryan continue to get solid reactions everywhere they go, and in some cases have crossed-over into other platforms such is the stature still of the company.

So it's just a bit harsh that Nash would say such a thing about the current talent.

What do you make of Nash's comments, and is he right to say what he said? Let us know in the comments.
