Jose Mourinho is a man under pressure at Manchester United - and the cracks are starting to show.On Saturday the Portuguese blamed the linesman, referee and luck for his side losing 3-1 to West Ham, rather than blaming the players who were dreadful. And on Tuesday following the 0-0 draw at home to Valencia in the Champions League, Mourinho accused the police - that's right, the police - for making United late to the game. He's been slammed for his recent behaviour at United, which has included publicly slamming Paul Pogba and demoting him as vice captain in front of the players.Paul Scholes is one of those who has criticised Mourinho and after the West Ham defeat he said United's manager is "embarrassing the club"."I'm actually sat here surprised he (Mourinho) survived after Saturday the performance was that bad," said the former midfielder."He's coming out in press conferences, he's constantly having a go at players [and] he's having a go at people above him because he's not getting what he wants.

SCHOLES RIPS INTO MOURINHO

"I think his mouth is probably out of control and I think he's embarrassing the club."

Mourinho responded to Scholes' comments after the game, saying: "I am not interested in that, I don't need to know what Paul Scholes said.

"He has freedom of speech just like anyone else, just like the fans who were chanting 'attack, attack' in the second half.

"People can say what they like, especially Manchester United supporters, because I respect their point of view."

However, there are suggestions Mourinho retaliated to Scholes' comments on the pitch even before his post-match interview.

Footage has emerged of Mourinho making a gesture to the cameras with his little finger as he headed towards the Old Trafford tunnel. For context, read the second tweet.

Make of that what you will. Only until Mourinho comments on his gesture will we know the truth, but he was clearly sending a message with it.

The drama continues.
