Mark Hunt may have been defeated by Oleksiy Olinynyk in Moscow a few weeks ago, but he's definitely not ready for leaving the UFC just yet.

There's still a bitter taste in the mouth over his bout with Brock Lesnar at UFC 200, where the former heavyweight champion defeated Hunt, only for the result to be changed to a no-contest following Lesnar's failed drug test.

Hunt's made his feelings about what he thinks of the UFC - and drug cheats for that matter - very clear, and even he truthfully knows what kind of opportunities he's got left in the company, with just one planned fight remaining.

"When you think about it, it doesn’t really matter who I want," admitted the Super Samoan, who spoke to GiveMeSport from ESI London, Europe’s biggest eSports business conference.

"When I was number five in the world all I kept getting was guys underneath me so it doesn’t really matter who I want, it’s just who I’m going to get.

"I realised that when I beat Derrick Lewis, who’s now number two in the world and all I get after that is number seven who was Curtis Blaydes and then I get Oleksiy [Oliynyk].

"So, I realised after that fight with Derrick I wasn’t going to get any guys at the top end and I wasn’t going to get another title shot, so to me, anyone’s fine.

"Give me a number 50, it’s not my choice. I’m not going to get another opportunity and I understand that, that’s fine.

Hunt has got his wish of fighting in his home country under the UFC banner one last time, as he takes on the number 15 ranked contender Justin Willis in what will probably his last fight for the promotion.

The New Zealander plans to stay in the sport when he leaves the UFC, and revealed his future plans to GiveMeSport - including teasing a rematch against an old foe from his PRIDE days.

"I’ve already said I want to go and fight at home before I finish," said Hunt.

"I’m going to fight three more times globally, depending on where it is, maybe four more times and then I’ll retire.

"One in New Zealand, one in Japan or Korea maybe, I've got 10 years of work in Japan and Korea, and I want to fight in Melbourne where I started my fighting career.

"I want to fight in Russia again because even though I just lost there, the fans there are just crazy and they love me as a fighter and they love MMA, so maybe me and Fedor [Emilianenko] in Russia, who knows? There’s a lot of different things I can do."

A rematch with Fedor would certainly be a big-money fight, the former PRIDE heavyweight champion defeated Hunt in 2006 and most recently knocked-off Frank Mir by knockout in Bellator.

When Hunt does leave the sport for good though, he will be missed not only for his skill inside the Octagon, but for his no-nonsense, truthful comments that the fans seemed to love.

Hunt is an ambassador for the eSL, an eSports Fighting League whose teams are made from celebrities and sports personalities. Leagues within the competition involve games such as Mortal Kombat X, Tekken 7 and Ultimate Street Fighter 5.

The season lasts a gruelling 19 weeks before a two-day thriller event decides the champion team in each sub-league.
