We’re only seven matches into the Premier League season and the league table is already taking shape.

Manchester City are top, while the side many people expected to run them close this season, Liverpool, are level on points with them in second.

Then comes Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.

You certainly wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how the top-five looks come May.

Alternatively, at the other end, pre-season relegation candidates Huddersfield, Cardiff and Newcastle are currently in the relegation zone.

But there’s one or two clubs that haven’t quite made the start to the season that everyone was expecting.

For the better, Watford and Bournemouth have exceeded all expectations with the two clubs sitting in sixth and seventh respectively.

Then, there’s Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side have picked up just 10 points after three wins, one draw and three defeats.

Their chances of winning the Premier League are all but over, but where will they finish come May?

Well, a ‘Super Computer’ has predicted the final standings and it’s pretty ugly for Man United.

How does it work?

Well, “stat geeks have used a super computer algorithm based on previous goals and results to predict every single future scoreline.”

The results?

Well, take a look:

Pretty extraordinary.

The computer has calculated that Manchester City will smash their 100 point-tally by achieving a crazy 108 points. That means they will go unbeaten and only draw two more matches from now until the end of the season.

That’s a big ask.

Chelsea pip Liverpool to second on goal difference after they both picked up 93 points, while Spurs were 20 points behind them in fourth.

Interestingly, Watford beat Arsenal to fifth by one point.

As for United, they finished a lowly 11th. Oh dear.

While Huddersfield and Cardiff couldn’t avoid the drop, Newcastle survived with Southampton finishing 18th.

Will the ‘Super Computer’ be accurate?

Time will tell…
