The WWE rolled into Melbourne, Australia for their first televised event in that country in 16 years. At the Super Show-Down, WWE had laid out a card full of title matches, special attractions and memorable moments.Australia's own Buddy Murphy and The Iiconics were all in action while the main event saw The Undertaker and Triple H roll back the years for the 'last time ever'.However, although many view these super shows as glorified house shows, there was some real stakes, too.Daniel Bryan and The Miz battled for the right to face the WWE champion while AJ Styles and Samoa Joe looked to put a definitive end to their feud. Let's get into the action below.

The New Day (c) Vs The Bar - SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships

New Day made the hot start with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston setting a fast pace, but The Bar manages to slow things down and work on Kingston, wearing down the human highlight reel.

Once Woods makes the hot tag, the finish sees Woods hit a backstabber and Kingston hit a double foot stomp from the top rope. A hot start and a nice finish.

Result - New Day retain the SD Live Tag Team titles

Becky Lynch (c) Vs Charlotte Flair - SmackDown Live Women's Championship

The Irish Lass Kicker hurt Charlotte on the outside in the early going before finally getting into the ring and locking on a tilt-a-whirl armbar. Charlotte managed to recover and a real back-and-forth match ensued.

The Queen hit two spears, missed a moonsault and locked in the Figure Eight before Lynch took the easy way out and lashed her former friend with the SmackDown Live Women's title to earn a DQ.

Result - Charlotte Flair wins via DQ, Becky Lynch retains the SD Live Women's title

John Cena and Bobby Lashley Vs Kevin Owens and Elias

Owens and Elias essentially dominated the entire match as they worked on Lashley, but then, quite predictably, Cena makes the hot tag and hits all six of his moves of doom - including his new Lightning Fist - and puts Elias away. Pretty underwhelming.

Result - John Cena and Bobby Lashley win via pinfall.

The Iiconics Vs Asuka and Naomi

After a nice reception, the Iiconics take the babyface lead in this encounter, allowing Asuka and Naomi to get some offence in. However, with Naomi isolated towards the end of the match, Billie Kay holds the Glow while Peyton Royce delivers a devastating knee for the win.

Result - The Iiconics win via pinfall

AJ Styles (c) Vs Samoa Joe - WWE Championship

This match was brutal from the get-go with both men brawling on the outside before the bell even rung. Joe would gain the upperhand in the early going before the match built a nice crescendo, spot-for spot.

Joe would lock in the Coquina Clutch three times during the match and hit a Uranage onto a chair while Styles would nail a 450 onto Joe's bad knee that got hurt after the Phenomenal One put the former NXT champion through a table.

After locking in the Calf Crusher for a second time, Styles finally made Joe submit with his bad knee playing a significant role.

Result - AJ Styles retains his WWE Championship via submission

The Riott Squad Vs The Bella Twins and Ronda Rousey

The Riott Squad controlled much of the early going in this match as the Bella Twins soaked up the pressure, including a nice moment where Liv Morgan was tagged in against a helpless Brie Bella and she delivered a devastating kick. A nice homage to the fact Brie concussed Morgan just under two weeks ago.

Of course, this match was simply leading up to Ronda Rousey's hot tag which did not fail to disappoint. The finish of the match was extremely inventive. Rousey didn't just lock in the armbar, but she locked it in on both Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, a spot it's safe to say we haven't seen before. Naturally, they tapped in seconds.

Result - Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins win via pinfall

Cedric Alexander (c) Vs Buddy Murphy - Cruiserweight Championship

The hometown hero, Buddy Murphy, attempted to dethrone Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight title and he started the match like a man possessed, flying to the outside and setting a quick tempo they'd maintain throughout the contest.

Several insane spots that included a Michinoku Driver from the top rope led to standing Spanish Fly and Lumbar Check from Alexander on Murphy, but he could only get a two-count. Shortly after, Murphy nailed his Pump Handle Death Valley Driver to win the title in front of a loud Australian crowd.

Result - Buddy Murphy wins the Cruiserweight Championship via pinfall

The Shield Vs Dogs of War

The Shield started the match in their textbook way of surrounding the ring, but then they targted Braun Strowman on the outside, seemingly with a Shield Bomb through the announce table in mind. However, the Dogs of War regained control and Dolph Ziggler started working on Seth Rollins to officially start the match.

Eventually, Rollins was able to make the hot tag to Dean Ambrose before the same story played out and the Lunatic Fringe had to tag in Roman Reigns. Once in, Reigns attempted to land a Superman Punch on Drew McIntyre, but the Scottish Psychopath moved out of the way and Reigns levelled Ambrose. Minutes later, the Dogs of War climbed the apron just like The Shield usually does to surround Rollins and Reigns, with Ambrose appearing on the far side too.

Although it indicated he was turning, he would go on to attack Strowman to show his true colours. With the Monster Among Men looking to level him at ringside, Reigns attoned for his earlier mistake and speared Strowman through the barricade. Ambrose would head back to the ring and land Dirty Deeds on Ziggler to grab the victory.

Result - The Shield win via pinfall

Daniel Bryan Vs The Miz

The winner of this bout would earn themselves a shot at AJ Styles' WWE title and the classic that many thought would ensue never stood a chance. The Miz hit Bryan with his own Running Knee finishing manuveure, but the Hollywood A-Lister could only get a two-count for his troubles.

Miz would then try and hit the Skull Crushing Finale, but Bryan reversed the move into a small package and seemingly got the three count. The crowd was silent; the match had finished in around two minutes and referee Charles Robinson was clutching his ear piece. Was he not supposed to count? Was someone meant to kick out? Was both mens' shoulders on the mat? Something appears to have gone wrong, but Daniel Bryan is the victor no less.

Result - Daniel Bryan wins via pinfall and becomes #1 contender to the WWE Championship

Triple H w/Shawn Michaels Vs Undertaker w/ Kane

The two legends, Triple H 49 and Undertaker 53, began the match trying to get some signature moves in. The Deadman wanted to go Old School and Triple H wanted to get his famous kneebuster and spinebuster in. Shawn Michaels kept getting involved in a sneaky, heel manner before 'Taker managed to shut him up with a right-hand.

'Taker and Triple H brawled into the crowd and when they brought it back into the ring, Triple H managed to kick out of a chokeslam and a tombstone. The Game then landed a Pedigree on 'Taker, and while the Deadman kicked out, he might have got a little aid from the ref.

Triple H would drive his elbow into Kane's heart while he lay prone on the table following a Sweet Chin Music and then, the match descended into weaponary oblivion with several steel chair shots and sledgehammer hit, including Triple H jumping off the second turnbuckle while Undertaker's neck was caught in a chair.

The finish came after Undertaker had Triple H for a Tombstone, but Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music. Following another headshot with the sledgehammer and a Sweet Chin Music, Triple H delivered a pedigree for the victory. The legends celebrated together after the bell, only for the Brothers of Destruction to Tombstone HHH and Chokeslam HBK through the announce table.

Result - Triple H wins via pinfall
