It’s important to remember that Manchester United remain eighth in the Premier League following their dramatic victory over Newcastle United.

It’s going to take much more than a 3-2 win over Newcastle, currently in the relegation zone, to convince the Man United board that Mourinho is still the man for the job.
The Mirror reported on Friday evening that the 55-year-old would lose his job regardless of the outcome of the game against Newcastle.
“Senior United sources have told Mirror Football he has reached the point of no return, with the axe ready to fall whatever the outcome of Saturday’s match against Newcastle,” the report said.
Mourinho would have a right to feel aggrieved if he was sacked now. His changes against Newcastle, including bringing on goalscorers Juan Mata and Sanchez, turned the game around.
But Man United have upcoming fixtures against Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester City; Mourinho and his side will be seriously tested after the international break.
Zidane on Man United's radar
While Mourinho may not lose his job as soon as the Mirror predict, the newspaper fully believe that Man United are eyeing his replacement.
The club have reportedly asked Zinedine Zidane to reject all job offers from elsewhere as they continue to decide Mourinho’s future.
Zidane, out of work after stepping down from Real Madrid at the end of last season, is the club’s No.1 choice to replace Mourinho.
The Frenchman’s reputation is sky-high following his successful spell in charge of Los Blancos.
Zidane won the Champions League three times in two-and-a-half years. Not bad.
The 46-year-old has been learning English and already has a list of potential signings he would like to make, including Toni Kroos, Thiago Alcantara, James Rodriguez and Edinson Cavani..
Meanwhile, senior figures at Man United believe Zidane would immediately lift the atmosphere inside the dressing room.
