Sebastian Vettel didn't have the best time during the Japanese Grand Prix.In a torrid final practice session which saw him start way down the grid in eighth, the German driver concluded the race in sixth position, as Lewis Hamilton took another step to securing a fifth Drivers' Championship after claiming another win in the Far East.Vettel attempted to overtake Max Verstappen at Spoon corner, which prompted an angry reaction from the Red Bull Driver, which was caught on the team radio. However, Verstappen defended his lead over the Ferrari driver, with the pair colliding wheels which saw Vettel spinning off the track."What the f*** is he thinking to overtake there, it is so f****** stupid," Verstappen bemoaned on Red Bull's radio.Vettel responded on his radio by slamming Verstappen's decision making. He said: "Is it believable was this guy is doing? I don't think so."Following on from the race, in which Verstappen finished in third, earning a place on the podium, both drivers aimed to clear up the confusion that had frustrated both of them during the controversial race at the Suzuka Circuit.“It's not a corner where you can overtake,” Verstappen told Sky Sports. “He could have gone past me on the next lap. It's like the mistake I made in China.

“Even the most experienced drivers make mistakes. Looking back, it was like China and I got a penalty there.”

Meanwhile, Vettel had his own theory on the incident that scuppered any chance of a podium finish, with the collision coming a few laps after Verstappen's incident with Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen.

“I was pushing to get past. I wasn't desperate to get past,” Vettel told Sky Sports.

“I knew he had a five-second penalty. The gap was there, but as soon as he saw me, he defended, but I had the inside. In my opinion, he tries to push when he shouldn’t.”

“Look at the incident he had with Kimi,” Vettel continued.
