Arsenal extended their winning run to nine with a resounding 5-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.

Unai Emery watched his men dismantle their hosts in the second half after going into the break at 1-1 thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s 29th minute opener being cancelled out by Andre Schurrle.

Momentum swung well and truly into the Gunners’ favour following the restart, though, with Lacazette’s second and an Aaron Ramsay goal preceding a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It was a convincing scoreline - and a satisfying way for Arsenal to give their new boss the biggest win of his tenure to date.

The north Londoners have been imperious in all competitions since losing the first two games of the season to Manchester City and Chelsea, hoisting themselves up to third in the Premier League in the process.

They’re only a point adrift of leaders City and second-placed Liverpool ahead of their blockbuster clash at Anfield this afternoon, so it’s no wonder confidence is high.

Emery appears to have his side operating just the way he wants and it’s clear the squad has bought into his tactical philosophy.

Arsenal now press higher up the pitch and attack more directly than they did under Arsene Wenger - a switch that’s triggered a hot run of form for several players.

While Aubameyang and Lacazette have been involved in 16 of the 24 goals their side has scored since the beginning of September, fans haven’t let another star performer go unnoticed.

Alex Iwobi doesn’t have the same output of goals (one) and assists (three) to support his contribution - but he’s been drawing praise from the Gunners faithful for a different reason.

The Nigerian winger has demonstrated incredible creativity with the ball at his feet, which was somewhat of a rarity before Emery replaced Wenger this season.

But his newfound belief is plain to see and was summed up by this superb moment during the 5-1 win at Fulham…

It’s his third successful nutmeg in two matches and, of course, Arsenal fans love that the 22-year-old is starting to take after his uncle Jay-Jay Okocha…

There’s little doubt Emery prefers to utilise Iwobi as an impact player, but surely he’ll want to get him on the pitch as often as possible to preserve his current form.
