Rob Van Dam in his prime was probably one of the most over babyfaces in the whole of WWE.After making his name under Paul Heyman's tutelage in Extreme Championship Wrestling, RVD made his first appearance in WWE in 2001, when Vince McMahon purchased both WCW and ECW.Despite originally being a heel in the Alliance, Van Dam became popular for his high-flying offence, and by 2002 he was feuding for World Championships. And he reached the pinnacle of the company in 2006, defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship., but drug possession charges meant it was a brief reign.Returning to WWE in 2013 after departing six years previously, for a one-year run that didn't bring him much in the way of a title, but he put over various superstars such as Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and even going to NXT to face Neville. His final match was shown on August 29, 2014 in a losing effort to Seth Rollins on SmackDown, and since then he's been circling the independent scene all across the world, but the rumours of a WWE return are never too far away. But there's probably no way of returning after his latest Twitter comments, where he's mocked a certain former foe of his - Triple H.The two battled many times on Raw in the 2000s, and he took a chance to fire a pot-shot at The Game, replying to of all people - Hulk Hogan.Hogan was commenting on The Undertaker's revelation that Andre The Giant took a secret storyline he had planned between the two 'to the grave', and Hogan wanted the fans' opinions on what they'd think of a feud between the pair in the 90s.But RVD decided to poke fun at the Cerebral Assassin, replying: I think someone would’ve run in and pedigree’d them both. Don’t you? 🤔"

Quite obviously a dig at the multi-time World Champion, and the fact that The Game now holds a corporate position within the company would mean comments like this won't make RVD the flavour of the month in the office.

But maybe Mr Monday Nights doesn't care about returning ever to the WWE - and at the age of 47, could you blame him?

Needless to say though, the fans absolutely loved his little shot.
