Blake Bortles is in a very interesting position in regards to his NFL career. After being taken with a first-round pick, third overall, by the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2014, Bortles overcame a rocky rookie season to become a solid quarterback as the Jags evolved from perennial Top-5 picks to legitimate Super Bowl contenders. He was rewarded for this with a very nice three-year contract in the offseason and a firm backing from the front office that he was "their guy" and the franchise QB. But, questions linger about Bortles is good enough. And after what he did today, we can see why.Bortles and the Jags faced off against the high-powered Kansas City Chiefs, pitting their stout defense against the number one offense in the NFL and a quarterback in Patrick Mahomes that has gone from backup to top MVP candidate in a matter of months. However, what the Chiefs boast in offense, they seriously lack in defense, with their secondary resembling Swiss Cheese at times. Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers and Jimmy Garoppolo all played well in losing efforts to KC - and Bortles should have done the same. But he didn't. In fact, he was straight up horrible. Bortles attempted 61 passes in the 30-14 loss and managed to barely complete 50% of those throws, for a paltry single touchdown and a whopping four interceptions. The worst of those picks came at the end of the second quarter. With the Jags down 20-0 and just fourteen seconds left in the first half, Bortles attempted to arrow a pass into the endzone to try and narrow the deficit. There was just one problem. The pass hit one of his offensive linemen in the helmet, before looping up into the air and getting picked off.

We aren't lying, here's a better angle of the ball doinking off the helmet.

The Blake Bortles Experience is a wild ride, full of highs and lows. You never know what you're going to get.
