Conor McGregor's fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov descended into complete chaos at UFC 229.McGregor tapped out to lose his lightweight title challenge when Nurmagomedov applied a tight neck crank in the fourth round.A huge brawl broke out at the T-Mobile Arena at the conclusion of their fight.Nurmagomedov jumped into the crowd and brawled with Dillon Danis, one of McGregor’s coaches.“First of all I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas,” said the Dagestani fighter. “I know this is not my best side. I’m a human being.”“I don’t understand how people can talk about how I jump on the cage,” Nurmagomedov added.“He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father. He came to Brooklyn and he broke a bus, he almost killed a couple of people. What about this s***? Why do people talk about me jumping over the cage? I don’t understand."This is a respectful sport, not a trash-talking sport. I want to change the game, you cannot talk about religion, about nationality.”

Chris Jericho reacts

WWE legend Chris Jericho watched McGregor being outfought and outclassed on Saturday night.

The 47-year-old wrestler was asked on Twitter if he would consider switching to UFC - and he took the opportunity to ridicule the Irishman.

Brutal stuff from Jericho.

Meanwhile, McGregor has already asked for a rematch on Twitter but UFC commentator Joe Rogan doesn't think it would be wise.

"The fight was very clear," Rogan said. "Khabib dominated the fight, won the fight by submission. There's no need for a rematch."

"The real question now is, does the UFC strip Khabib? Does the Nevada State Athletic Commission fine him and not allow him to compete again?"

McGregor has been paid in full but Nurmagomedov is reportedly still waiting for his paycheck.

The Nevada Athletic Commission told Dana White that they were withholding his pay until further review of the post-fight incident.
