Conor McGregor has suggested his battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov is not over despite losing to the Russian in Las Vegas over the weekend. The Irishman’s mixed martial arts return after a near two-year hiatus fell flat as he tapped out midway through the fourth round at UFC 229.Controversy and violent scenes then followed as Nurmagomedov, who had retained his lightweight title, soured a career-best performance by vaulting the cage and attacking someone from McGregor’s camp.McGregor was attacked by at least two men who entered the cage as the bad blood between the camps spilled over.Yet afterwards, McGregor seemed unfazed by the trouble and tweeted that he was “looking forward to the rematch”.On Monday he again appeared to call for another opportunity to fight Nurmagomedov as he tweeted: “We lost the match but won the battle. The war goes on.”The tweet was accompanied by a picture of McGregor sporting a black eye but looking relaxed holding a drink.Although Khabib spoiled his big night with his actions after the fight, it shouldn't be forgotten how well he performed inside the Octagon. The first two rounds he schooled the Irishman, keeping him on the mat and striking him when possible, refusing to let McGregor into the fight.Although the third round was a lot closer, and perhaps even won by McGregor, the fourth was the final moments for Notorious, as he succumbed and tapped out to his rival. One man who was taking great pleasure in seeing McGregor lose to Khabib was 50 Cent, who has had a war of words with the Irishman a lot in recent months. He posted over the weekend as the result came in, but he's since tweeted again, mocking both McGregor and his good friend Drake. You can see 50 Cent's latest tweet below.

Safe to say the rapper is enjoying McGregor's downfall, and even more so because of his affiliation with Drake.
