Danis sends furious tweet

The 24-year-old rose to prominence in the MMA community as McGregor's training partner, joining his crew in 2016.

And less than 24 hours after his bust-up with Khabib, Danis responded to being labelled a "nobody" by former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

That's what you call an explosive tweet.

Dos Anjos last fought at UFC 225, when he lost to Colby Covington by unanimous decision in June.

Meanwhile, Danis last fought at Bellator 198 back in April - when he beat Kyle Walker in 98 seconds thanks to a toe hold submission.

That is his only professional fight to date.

In the build-up to Saturday night's fight, Danis suggested his is a better fighter than Nurmagomedov.

Danis said: “I believe I have the same game as Khabib. But I have more submissions in my arsenal. Like, I have the relentlessness and the wrestling, but I attack a lot more and I’m a little bit bigger.

"So I feel that I’m bringing basically a better version of Khabib to Conor every single day, so I know 100 percent he’s ready.”
