The events that unfolded following Conor McGregor's fourth-round submission loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas can easily divert attention from the in-Octagon action itself.Prior to even Nurmagomedov jumping the cage, fans will feel they received their money's worth with the night of action they witnessed. The night commenced with an impressive head-kick victory courtesy of Tony Martin, before the main card delivered dramatic fights including Derrick Lewis' brutal knockout of Alexander Volkov with seconds left in the fight and an all-out war between Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis. The hotly-anticipated main event capped off a remarkable night of MMA action. Undefeated Lightweight champion Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor via a rear-naked choke in the fourth round after dominating the Irishman with his wrestling.Conor has since publicly displayed his wish for a rematch against Khabib, and it appears he's also made UFC chief Dana White aware of this.According to ESPN's MMA editor, Greg Rosenstein, Conor has reached out to Dana in pursuit of a second fight.Rosenstein tweeted: "Dana White says Conor McGregor has already called him asking for a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov."Fans have had mixed reactions to the news, some responding: "Please no, I hate immediate rematches. Dana should have learned his lesson after TJ (Dillashaw) vs Cody (Garbrandt) 2.

Others have said: "It's happening 100%. What Conor wants, Conor gets."

McGregor is no stranger to bouncing back after losses for an immediate rematch. In fact, he's recovered from extremely similar losses in the past.

At UFC 196, McGregor was matched up against Nate Diaz after then-Lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos pulled out of the two's super fight. The bout saw McGregor go up two weight division to fight Diaz at Welterweight.

Much like Khabib, Diaz also submitted McGregor via rear-naked choke. The two fought again at UFC 202 where McGregor won via majority decision.

After what happened following Khabib's win over Conor, a rematch between the two would be huge business for the UFC.

However, will Dana White be willing to pull the trigger? McGregor is rumoured to have five more fights on his newly-signed UFC contract, so a sequel may well be a possibility.
